Thethi climate is quite favorable for tourism. Its characteristics are cold winter with snow up to 2 meters, and cool summers.
Theth is a wonderful village in northern Albania’s Shkodra region. Set among the peaks of the Shala mountains, Theth is isolated, and in times of snow, practically inaccessible. Edith Durham, a famous English traveler and writer on the Balkans, visited the area in 1908. She wrote of its seclusion:

The History of the “National Park of Theth”
On the date of 11.21.1966 (Nr.96), the cabinet credited the area of Theth, with a surface of 2630 ha: from which 1680 ha are forest along the sea-line and the other part is gas-plot and grust. It is now declared a “National Park” and is overseen by the D.SH.P, district of Shkodra.
Villa Gjecaj is located in the Center of Theth, you can come here only by car ( it is suggested to be a 4×4 car ). Also you can use the daily public transport from Tirana or from Shkodra.
